Design: iPhone appearance hasn’t changed much since iPhone 6 except the iPhone X, which looks completely different from iPhone 7 Plus. As usual, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus still has the touch ID and rounded corner and similar button placements, but it has replaced the metal with glass on the back and front. The only obvious difference in design between iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus is the size and camera.

As for the memory and battery, the iPhone 8 Plus has a slightly higher 3G memory and bigger battery while the iPhone has only 2G memory. The biggest difference between the biggest difference between iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in hardware is the cameras. The iPhone 8 comes with a single camera which is basically the same of the iPhone 7 except it supports optical image stabilization built in this time. iPhone 8 Plus comes with a dual camera which is fantastic for taking photos with bokeh effect, AR, artificial focus. Besides, the iPhone 8 Plus camera supports the portrait lighting mode, making it much easier for taking selfie.

To sum up, the iPhone 8 has the Pros of impeccable performance, nice build quality, excellent camera, impressive AR apps support, easy to take everywhere and the Cons such as no dual camera, design is similar with the previous iPhone 7, battery is not so big. For the iPhone 8 Plus, Its advantages are high performance, excellent dual camera, wide screen and long battery endurance and the disadvantages are not easy to hold in hand or put into pocket, the camera humps are back, design is not innovative enough.

Alexa Review: Amazon’s Alexa wants to rule your world

Upon visiting Berlin’s IFA2107  — Germany’s answer to CES — recently,  there was one word I kept hearing: Alexa. In the consumer hardware space, it’s a great time to be Amazon, if the sheer number of hardware companies jumping on the Alexa bandwagon are anything to go by.
Only today it was revealed that Amazon is working on a pair of smart glasses integrating Alexa, intended to look similar to regular glasses with bone conduction technology to allow the user to engage with Alexa without having to wear headphones. Amazon is also working on an Echo connected camera system that cannot only keep a look out for intruders but also Amazon-delivered packages.
During the IFA conference, a number of companies made their own Alexa announcements. Let’s take a look:
Bragi makes The Dash series Amazon Alexa-compatible
Smart headphone  company Bragi is responsible for one of the largest Kickstarter funding rounds in European history (over $3.39 million) with The Dash series (The Dash, The Dash Pro), headphones that not only enable the user to listen to music without leads  but also measure movements like pace, steps, cadence and distance along with heart rate, oxygen saturation and energy spent, without an attached smartphone.
At IFA2017 they company announced that their headphones are now  Alexa-compatible. This marks a first for Alexa in the “truly wireless” headphone space. It’s also one of the first truly mobile hardware integrations for Amazon’s cloud-based voice service.
“Now customers with The Dash headphones can easily take Alexa with them on the go,” said Jon Kirk, Director Amazon Alexa.
“Bragi’s intelligent headphones with Alexa will make it easy for customers to control their smart home, ask for news, and access more than 20,000 skills in the Alexa skills store.”
Bragi products are currently compatible with voice assistants like Apple’s Siri and Google Assistant, but Amazon Alexa brings a new world of possibilities through smart home, shopping, and home entertainment use cases. Users of Amazon Alexa on The Dash will also be able to access several streaming audio options including their Amazon Music Library, Amazon Prime Music, Audible and TuneIn Radio.
Amazon Alexa increases robot helper tasks
UBTECH Robotics‘ Alpha 2 and younger sibling Lynx, are two humanoid robots are intent on taking over your household tasks. They can take pictures and videos, make calls, check voicemails, read and send texts and emails, and control WiFi-enabled office equipment. They can also post to your social media using voice commands and dance enthusiastically due to over 20 joints on each robot. Alpha 2 features an open API and SDK for Android and the comes welcomes input from developer enthusiasts.
Significantly, Lynx is the first video-enabled humanoid robot with Amazon Alexa functionality. This means that the robot can not only shop directly from Amazon but also ’s talk to home devices such as security cameras, door locks, security systems, and thermostats.
The downside is its price, you can expect to part with $2,800, more than double the price of Alpha 2 and Lynx.
Other products that announced partnerships with Amazon included SmarterFridge Cam,Bosch 360° Indoor Camera and Eyes Outdoor Cameras and a new range of televisions for Toshiba.
Alexa and Cortana connect
Along with lending it’s functionality to more and more hardware, Amazon and Microsoftannounced on Sunday that Alexa will be able to talk to Cortana, and Cortana will be able to talk to Alexa.
Alexa customers will be able to access Cortana’s unique features like booking a meeting or accessing work calendars, reminding you to pick up flowers on your way home, or reading your work email – all using just your voice. Similarly, Cortana customers can ask Alexa to control their smart home devices, shop on Amazon.com, interact with many of the more than 20,000 skills built by third-party developers, and much more.
According to Jeff Bezos, Founder and CEO, Amazon:
“The world is big and so multifaceted. There are going to be multiple successful intelligent agents, each with access to different sets of data and with different specialized skill areas. Together, their strengths will complement each other and provide customers with a richer and even more helpful experience. It’s great for Echo owners to get easy access to Cortana.”
The combining of the home automation and shopping functionalities of Alexa and business communication skills of Cortana will provide some useful collaborative clout against Google and Siri assistants, as well as showing the benefits of collaboration to the innovation of the voice assistant ecosystem. There is, however, no word yet from the latter companies as to whether they want to join the gang. As Amazon endeavors to seep into every part of your life, you can bet the rest are taking notice.

How to Transfer iTunes M4V DRM Videos to Play on Windows Media Player

How to Play iTunes Videos on Windows Media Player Easily

“My iTunes for Windows sucks, it always freeze what I launch it. Is there another way to play iTunes videos by Windows Media Player directly instead of iTunes” Question from Daniel Lee.
As a most official player for Windows, WMP has a large number of user base. It runs fast yet with powerful features to manage your digital media files including audio, music, audiobook, video etc. It is really helpful if you have have many media files. If you are also interested in watching iTunes videos in Windows Media Player, please continue read on.

Part 1. What Kind of Videos Are Supported by Windows Media Player

There has been multiple versions of Windows Media Player released after it first appeared in 1991. This player has intrinsic support for Windows Media codec files such as WMA, WMV, ASF, AVI etc. And more and more new file formats are added with the development of the new versions. In the most recent version of Windows Media Player 12, It supports the following listed formats.
Supported Audio Formats: MP3, MID, MIDI, RMI, AIF, AIFC, AIFF, WAV, CDA, M4A, AAC, ADT, ADTS and so on.
Supported Video Formats: ASF, WMA, WMV, WM, ASX, WAX, WVX, WPL, WMD, AVI, DVR-MS, WMD, MPG, MPEG, IVF, MOV, MP4, M4V, MP4V, 3G2, 3GP2, 3GP, 3GPP, M2TS etc.
Furthermore, for other formats which are not on the support list of Windows Media Player, you can also install a third-party codec to enable it to support more media types. For instance, you  can add more formats by using specific DirectShow filters or MediaFoundation codec. In brief, it can play any common files without any protection as long as you have the right codec installed.

Part 2. What Can You Do to Make iTunes M4V Playable on Windows Media Player

From what we have discussed above, we can find that M4V is already in the support list of Windows Media Player. But when we try to play the iTunes M4V files on Windows Media Player, it will still prompt you the error that ‘Windows Media Player can’t play this file, maybe the format or codec is not supported’. Why? The reason is that, though M4V is supported by WMP, the iTunes M4V is encoded with the Apple iTunes FairPlay DRM copy protection before they are sold in iTunes. Under this protection, the iTunes movie files can only be played on selected players and devices from Apple like Apple TV, iOS devices, iTunes player, etc. In order to play the protected iTunes videos on other players like Windows Media Player, you must remove the DRM restriction at the first place. Thankfully nowadays you can crack DRM with little effort using a powerful iTunes DRM video converter called DRmare iTunes M4V to WMP Converter. It is developed with stunning features to remove DRM, convert iTunes M4V videos etc. You only need to load your downloaded iTunes videos to the converter and the DRM will be removed automatically once the process is done.

Windows Media Player supports almost any formats, so you can select any formats you want theoretically to convert videos and remove DRM. But I’d suggest you to choose MP4(Lossless) since it can keep the original quality including the original subtitles, audio tracks. Based on your requirements, you might do some settings on the output video parameters such as the bit rate, frame rate too.
Step 3Start to convert iTunes M4V videos to WMP
In the end, you can press the ‘Conversion’ button at the bottom right side of the software to convert your iTunes videos. Please don’t open other programs on your computer to make sure it runs fastest and most smoothly.

Everything about Apple's Latest Smartphone: iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus

It’s been a quick two days since Apple unveiled the latest iPhones in its lineup: the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. That’s right! We’re skipping the standard “S” release and heading straight to prime time with the 8, and there are plenty of new features to look forward to— including wireless charging, a glass back, and a new TrueTone LCD display.

Now that you’ve had time to drink in all the details, it’s time to preorder. Preorders start on Friday, September 15 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific (that’s 3:01 a.m. Eastern—sorry for the bad news). That’s right after midnight, so don’t go to bed without setting your alarm. The phones officially come out next Friday, September 22.

Apple’s online store may seem like the most obvious choice, but you can also get it from the Apple Store app for iOS, which tends to work very smoothly based on our past pre-ordering experiences. It often is even more reliable than the Apple online store, which is why Apple recommends going this route. It should at least be your Plan B if Apple.com crashes.

Besides Apple, the four major cell carriers are also eager to help their customers upgrade or switch to a brand-new iPhone—especially if it means renewing a contract, extending an installment plan, or signing up new customers.

Speaking of installment plans, the process will be a little different for those of you participating in Apple’s iPhone Upgrade Plan, while we’ll cover below.

Read on for more iPhone 8 pre-order info. Looking for info on the iPhone X? That one doesn’t ship until November 3, unfortunately, so preorders won’t begin until October 27.

256GB: $849
The iPhone 8 Plus also comes in two models, but starts at $799.

64GB: $799
256GB: $949
If you want AppleCare+, that will set you back an additional $129 for the iPhone 8 and $149 for the iPhone 8 Plus—which is a price increase for the larger models. Both the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus come in silver, gold, or space gray.

iPhone 8 preorder: Apple online store

Preorders for the new iPhone start on Friday, September 15 at 12:01a.m. Pacific/3:01 a.m. Eastern, and Apple’s online shopping portal is already set up. You can’t complete your checkout just yet, obviously, but you can prepare by pre-entering your carrier information or selecting the unlocked option.

If your carrier is AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon, you can check your upgrade eligibility directly on Apple’s website. You can also enroll in the iPhone Upgrade Program online. If you’re a T-Mobile customer, you’ll have to pay in full to place your preorder from Apple; if you want to participate in the iPhone Upgrade Program, T-Mobile customers will have to go to an Apple retail store (or Apple Town Square) in person.

iPhone 8 preorder: iPhone Upgrade Plan

Apple is continuing its iPhone Upgrade Program for the 8 and 8 Plus. This program allows you to upgrade to a new iPhone every year by paying monthly installments directly to Apple via a third-party loan. Here’s the cost breakdown:

iPhone 8:

64GB: $34.50 per month
256GB: $40.75 per month
iPhone 8 Plus:

64GB: $39.50 per month
256GB: $45.75 per month
The cost of the iPhone Upgrade Program includes AppleCare+, which would be an additional charge of $129 for the iPhone 8 and $149 for the iPhone 8 Plus if you were to pay for the phone in full up front.

Whether you’re new to the iPhone Upgrade Program or an existing user, Apple suggests that you get pre-approved for your loan ahead of time, so act fast—the pre-approval window closes at 4:00p.m. Pacific on Thursday.

Curiously, the only way to get pre-approved is to use the Apple Store app on your iPhone. Launch the app, and look for the “Get a head start on your upgrade” banner at the top of the Discover page. From there, the app will walk you through the pre-approval process, which involves selecting your preferred iPhone, confirming your carrier, and getting your loan pre-approved. You don’t have to return your current iPhone until after your new iPhone 8 arrives.

For more info, see our iPhone Upgrade Program FAQ.

iPhone 8 preorder: AT&T

If you’re an AT&T customer (or would like to become one), you can also preorder your new iPhone 8 on AT&T’s website. Preorders begin at the same time—12:01 a.m. Pacific on Friday. From there, you can check your upgrade eligibility and select one of their Next plans.

AT&T Next lets you get a new iPhone 8 for $0 down as long as you make monthly payments, starting at $23.34 for the iPhone 8 and $26.67 for the iPhone 8 Plus, spread out over 30 months (with a 24-month option available). You can upgrade to a new iPhone once 80 percent of the iPhone’s sales price is paid off (or sooner with a down payment). The AT&T Next Every Year plan has larger monthly payments but you can upgrade after a year—or once you’ve paid off half of the price of your device—hence the name.

iPhone 8 preorder: Verizon

Verizon will also begin taking preorders just after midnight. This year, if you sign up for an unlimited plan and trade in your iPhone 6s/6s Plus or iPhone 7/7 Plus, you can save $300 off of your iPhone 8. Your trade-in device must be in good working and cosmetic condition, of course. Verizon is also giving you the option to pay for the phone in full or through a 24-month installment plan.

iPhone 8 preorder: Sprint

Sprint is taking preorders at the same time, with the focus on offering low monthly prices for new Sprint customers. If you switch to Sprint, you can slash your monthly payments in half if you bring in an eligible device to trade in with Sprint Flex. For iPhone users, that means an iPhone 6/6 Plus, iPhone 6s/6s Plus, or iPhone 7/7 Plus. This brings the iPhone 8 down to $14.58 per month ($29.17 with no device trade in) and the iPhone 8 Plus down to $18.75 per month ($33.34 with no device trade in). Sprint requires a down payment of $150 for the 256GB models, but there’s no down payment for the 64GB devices.

Existing customers can log in to their Sprint accounts to view personalized offers. (We’ll follow up once we have access to exact pricing for current Sprint customers—that info wasn’t available as of this writing.)

All monthly payment-based iPhone plans come with Sprint’s iPhone Forever program, which lets you trade in your phone every 12 months. Sprint’s iPhone Forever program is technically a 22-month lease.

iPhone 8 preorder: T-Mobile

T-Mobile isn’t being left out of this preorder party—the carrier will begin taking preorders at (you guessed it!) 12:01 a.m. Pacific this Friday. If you have an iPhone 6 or newer to trade in, T-Mobile will knock $300 off the price of the iPhone 8 or 8 Plus via 24 monthly bill credits. For current T-Mobile customers on the Equipment Installment Plan (EIP), you have to pay off the remaining balance on your existing device before adding the iPhone 8 to your line.

In September 12, Apple has help the new product launch event. Every year the September product launch event is most important for Apple especially this years iPhone Event 2017. Apple has announced 5 big products including iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, Apple Watch Series 3, Apple TV 4K. These devices have almost all the features which has been rumored and exposed. But they are still some details you may have not found out. Let take a deep look into it.

iPhone X

On the start of the Apple event, Cook honors Steven Jobs with emotional address, Steve's spirit and timeless philosophy on life will always be the DNA of Apple. iPhone X is known as the 10th anniversary iPhone with the biggest leap forward since the original iPhone. It costs $999 and won't be available until November. iPhone X, pronounces as 'iPhone Ten' is surely innovative in design, performance and other aspects with IOS 11 system. It looks very different from other models of iPhones without a home button. Instead of waking the phone by tapping the home button, now you can wake up the phone with a slight tap on the screen. This new model of phone doesn't have the touch ID any more but it supports a new technology Face ID which identifies users and it works with Apple Pay. Besides it also has 3-D touch for AR videos and games, water resistant, powerful 12 megapixel cameras etc. In addition, the handset comes in space gray and sliver with pearly finish glass back. It features a 5.8 inch super retina OLED display with 2.7 million pixels with the highest pixel density and 1million-to-one contrast ratio and it can handle Dolby HDR content without any problems.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus

Skipping from iPhone 7S/iPhone 7S Plus, Apple directly upgrade from the last year's iPhone 7 to iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Both will be available from Sept 15 at the price $699 and $799 respectively. They resemble the last three years of iPhones but with most powerful processor and better display and speakers, pretty strong glass exterior reinforced steel, wireless charging system and IOS 11 system. The core processor is A11 Bionic which is the most powerful chip ever created in a smartphone. It is supposed to have about 25% ~ 70% faster than the chip used in last year's models. Aside from that, there is also a standalone Apple-designed graphics processor which will make the new iPhone work much smoothly. Other features it has are that new sensors in a dual camera, 3-D touch technology for playing AR games or movies,water-resistant, stereo speakers that are 25% louder etc.

Apple TV 4K

In this year of Apple product launch event, Apple also introduces a new set-top box Apple TV 4K which supports sharper resolution movies and TV shows. It will be available from Sept 22th at $179. According to Apple's senior vice president of internet software and services Eddy Cue, the new Apple TV will bring more live sports and news to the TV and they are working with Hollywood studios and streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video to get sharper content including 4K videos. What's more, Apple also said that it will upgrade any high definition movie that anyone has purchased from iTunes to 4K version for free. As for the hardware configuration, Apple TV 4K also has new Apple-designed chip which is same to the one used in iPad.

Although 4K devices are available on iTunes, there are still some limitations as the iTunes 4K videos are still FairPlay DRM protected. This means you can only play them on Apple devices up to 5 in total and you have to authorized the devices before you can watch the iTunes movies. So what is you have Android smart TVs or mobile phones? Are you completely out of luck. Rest assured There is a best alternative solution sure. Since FairPlay is the culprit to blame, Id recommend you to use a specific allmighty software DRmare M4V Converter for Mac/Windows to help you remove DRM. After that, there wont be any limitation on the new output files. Finally you can enjoy the iTunes videos on multiple android devices just like other common video files.

Apple Watch Series 3

Previously, Apple watch has to be connected to an iPhone to work. No any more. In the new model Apple Watch Series 3, Apple revamped the Apple Watch and makes it possible to connect to LTE network independently, talk to Siri and stream millions of songs. You don't need to pair with an iPhone to use it any more. It also has a more powerful and efficient dual-core processor and a new healthy feature to monitor the hearts of its wearers. You can quickly find your heart rate after exercise and get the alerts if the your heart rate spikes when the watch doesn't expect it to. The new watches start at $329 or $399 for the version with cell service and will be available on Sept 22th.
